About the session

The rise of AI chatbots has led to a number of people questioning whether there is a future role for human delivered therapy. “Can’t it all just be done by a machine?”.

While there is clear potential for AI to automate some aspects of psychotherapy, a machine will never “care” for a patient in the same way that humans do. How do we chart a sensible path forward by linking up the efforts and perspectives of clinicians, health systems, patients and technology innovators?
