ieso is the world’s leading, live clinician, synchronous digital mental health delivery platform. With over 10,000 therapy hours delivered in 2015, ieso has improved access, quality and affordability in mental health in the UK. Today, Executive Chairman Simon Cartmell announces the appointment of Dan Clark as CEO to lead the business through the next stage of its growth, in particular in the US.
Dan Clark has led the start-up, scaling, innovation and growth of a number of companies ranging from small seed-stage companies, to Fortune 50 organizations, including two successful, technology-enabled healthcare businesses. Dan has held senior executive level posts at OPTUM Health, Humana, Aetna, Cigna and ValueOptions (now Beacon Health Options). He has built extensive experience in managed behavioral health, wellness, population health services, general healthcare and group insurance across several markets including Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial, Payer and Provider groups.
Dan Clark comments: “I am honoured to have been chosen to lead this exciting business on the next stage of its corporate journey. Having worked across all dimensions of behavioral health in the US, it is clear that the evidence-based ieso platform has a great deal to offer. There is real potential for it to be truly positive and transformative in improving access and quality for both patients and payers alike."
Commenting on the appointment, Chairman Simon Cartmell added:
“ieso is at a very exciting point in its trajectory, as we continue the tremendous momentum in our UK home market, and focus on the strategic goal to build a significant US presence. No-one is more qualified than Dan to lead the business and establish ieso as the leading evidence-based behavioral healthcare company in the US. His blend of direct clinical experience with an extensive corporate and entrepreneurial track record in our space gives us tremendous confidence that we will be able to accelerate our ambitions in the months and years ahead."
"I would also like to thank former CEO and founder Barnaby Perks, who has built ieso from its earliest stage to a proven commercial platform operating at scale in the UK. I am delighted Barnaby will take on the role of UK Managing Director.”
